Great products.

Good service. Plates arrived well wrapped and on time. Used them for the fist time last night and although the guidance says to leave the stones in the oven for an hour we thought the meat cooked a bit slower that we expected so we’ll leave them in longer next time. The part of the plate for the sides could be a little bigger but overall we are happy with our purchase.

Black Rock Grill

Thank you for taking the time to review, steak on the stone tastes so much better in our view, I hope you agree?! If your oven does not reach temperatures of 280c and above I would suggest heating the rock under the grill at full heat as close to the element as possible for 30/40 minutes. Or on the gas/electric hob for 30-40 minutes. The reason for this is, if the oven does not get hot enough, leaving the rock in the oven that only reaches 250c for example means the rock will only reach 250c no matter how long it is left in the oven. However, under the grill and on a gas hob means the cooking rock will continue to get hotter the longer you leave it. These heat sources are reaching way beyond 280c and are perfect to get the desired sizzle for your hot rock. To test to see if the stone is hot enough we advise you to drop a few drops of water in the center of the stone if the water disappears straight away you are ready to cook if the water bubbles on the surface it's not quite ready to cook just yet and need to be heated hotter.
